Delia & Ricky knew they wanted something simple, meaningful, and uniquely theirs. Rather than a big traditional wedding, they opted to officially tie the knot at the courthouse. But they also wanted to celebrate in a way that felt more personal, in a place that felt like them. So they chose a local hiking trail that overlooks the hills of Yorba Linda for their elopement photos.

As we climbed the trail, surrounded by golden light and spring-green grass, it genuinely felt like we had left California altogether. You could see the whole horizon above the houses, it felt like standing in your own little world.

They exchanged rings at the top of that hill, just the two of them, sharing quiet words.

And yes, it was wild because tarantulas made an appearance!! My first time everrr seeing them in nature.

This day was everything I love about elopements—intimate, intentional, and set against a backdrop that felt like it belonged only to them. Delia & Ricky’s session reminded me why I do what I do, and why these quiet, wild, beautiful moments matter so much.
